Automobili Pininfarina’s latest electric vehicle (EV) model, the Battista Cinquantacinque, is a hyper GT inspired by the iconic 1955 Lancia Florida show car. This outstandingly beautiful EV pays homage to its design language of the past while adopting advanced technology and innovation that sets a new standard for the EV industry. 

Named ‘Cinquantacinque’ after the Italian word for 55, the Battista Cinquantacinque takes the timeless Blu Savoia Gloss bodywork that was inspired by the original Lancia Florida show car, complemented by a unique Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof. The design was curated by the Automobili Pininfarina Design Team with the idea of presenting a timeless elegance and refinement of mid-century automotive design, paying tribute to the legacy of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina, the designer behind the Lancia Florida show car. 

Regarding performance, the Battista Cinquantacinque boasts four independent electric motors and a powerful 120 kWh lithium-ion battery. It also provides a powerful 1,900 horsepower and 2,340 Nm of torque. In terms of acceleration, it delivers 1.86 seconds from 0 to 60 mph with an estimated range of up to 295 miles. 

As for the exterior, the Battista Cinquantacinque showcases detailed craftsmanship with a finish added with the Brushed Anodised jewelry pack. As for the interior, it comes with Mahagoni Poltrona Frau Heritage Leather that exudes luxury. Interestingly, the Battista Cinquantacinque has unique inscriptions including the ‘Cinquantacinque 55’ signature on the passenger door plate and the underside of the active rear wing.

Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, expressed his excitement about the Battista Cinquantacinque, stating, “This was a truly special and unique opportunity to design a car that pays homage to Pininfarina SpA’s heritage. The color combination of the Battista Cinquantacinque is incredible and shows the vision Battista Farina had when he designed the Lancia Florida back in the early fifties.”

As Automobili Pininfarina pushes its innovation with luxury in mind for its EVs, the Battista Cinquantacinque will stand as a testament to the company’s rich heritage while offering an exceptional driving experience. The Battista Cinquantacinque will make its debut in Tokyo, Japan.
