Enteligent has started pre-orders for what it heralds as the world’s inaugural solar-powered DC-to-DC charger for electric vehicles (EVs) called the Enteligent TLCEV T1 EVSE. It was first shown at the Intersolar North America in 2023, and now it is here for pre-order.

The TLCEV T1 EVSE can supply up to 12.5 kW of fast DC charging, which is twice faster than the traditional AC Level 2 EV chargers. Also, the charger takes away the DC-to-AC-to-DC conversion while reaching up to 20% energy savings. The TLCEV T1 charger also comes with direct DC-coupled charging options, including NACS and CCS-1. The charger is also designed for easy integration with its solar canopies and carports for different locations including residences, office parking lots, campuses, agricultural sites, and construction zones.

Sean Burke, Co-founder and CEO of Enteligent, expressed the benefits of the TLCEV T1 EVSE charger to the environment with solar energy stating, “Enteligent’s solution offers convenient EV charging, so EV drivers can shift to daytime charging directly from solar panels and top up for free while the sun shines. The TLCEV chargers simply connect to a solar canopy anywhere and generate clean power.”

Moreover, Enteligent’s dedication to innovating solar energy with EVs is highlighted by its recent capital raise of $7 million from strategic and institutional investors. As a result, Enteligent’s TLCEV T1 EVSE charger is streamlining the process for solar energy infrastructure aligning with EVs.

Enteligent’s TLCEV T1 EVSE charger serves as a beacon to offer a concrete path toward solar-powered energy solutions that benefit electric mobility. As innovative EV chargers like this become more advanced, EV technology will face the same influence as well. The TLCEV T1 EVSE has an early-bird price set at $2,249 and a pre-order deposit of $250.
