Rivian Expands Washington Footprint With New Showroom and Service Facility

Rivian is expanding its retail and service network in Washington with a new showroom and service facility in Issaquah, with the 32,034-square-foot location expected to open to the public in spring 2027.

The facility will occupy the former Evergreen Ford dealership at 1500 18th Ave. NW in the Hyla Crossing development. It will include 13 service bays, 21 charging stations and space to showcase Rivian’s electric vehicles. The company expects the site to create 35 jobs.

The announcement was made by Rowley Properties and the city of Issaquah on September 9, with Rivian joining a growing group of businesses in the area.

New facility will support Rivian owners

The Issaquah location will handle vehicle deliveries, maintenance and service while giving prospective customers a place to see Rivian’s lineup. Its location near Interstate 90 also puts it close to routes leading toward the Cascade Mountains and other destinations popular with Pacific Northwest drivers.

Rivian senior director of commercial facilities real estate Tommy Carrillo said the facility will serve as a “one-stop hub” for deliveries, service and vehicle displays, according to 425 Magazine.

The company specifically highlighted the R2, Rivian’s upcoming five-passenger midsize SUV, as one of the vehicles that will be showcased at the site.

Rivian continues building out its network

The Issaquah facility adds another location to Rivian’s growing network as the automaker prepares to expand its lineup beyond the R1T pickup and R1S SUV.

Rivian has been increasing its physical presence as it prepares for higher vehicle volumes. The company said in a recent update that it had 140 retail and service locations and expects to add about 40 more by the end of 2027.

The new Issaquah site will give Rivian another service location in the Seattle-area market while providing a dedicated showroom for customers considering its vehicles. With the R2 set to broaden the company’s addressable market, the additional capacity will become increasingly important as deliveries grow.
